A SINGLE BASKETBALL GAME CHANGES EVERYTHING...
When they were only teenagers, Axel and Caxton were caught making out in the woods at church camp. And afterward, Cax had disappeared from all the youth group activities.
Six years later, Axel is astonished to spot his first love’s face in the crowd of a college basketball game he’s watching on TV—at a school which has just offered him a job. It’s a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly, he can’t wait to get there.
Cax can’t believe his eyes when Axel appears in the same Massachusetts town where he now lives. And he’s still just as drawn to Axel as ever. But he can’t let himself go there again, because loving Axel will mean giving up everything else he holds dear.
Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it's Hello Forever.
Hello Forever is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhangers. Readers of Goodbye Paradise will get to check in on Caleb and Josh and their clan.
A fantastic, unforgettable story! This book will make you cheer, cry, and swoon so hard! I adored it! - Laura Kaye, New York Times bestselling author of the Hard Ink series
“In a world of abundance romance novels, Goodbye Paradise by Sarina Bowen stands out.” Hypable
life lessons and love
The leads were besties for years. They participated in church events which got them together regularly. After crossing the line into more than just friends, they were caught and had no interaction for years. Now both have just graduated and end up working at the same college. One is a TA graduate student and one does press for the athletic department. Seems like a perfect way to pick back up. The problem is that one of the guys has some family baggage and issues getting in the way. They will have to be willing to go through a lot to be together. Hello Forever is a sad yet sweet story. It's about two boys becoming men and finding what they want in life. Fans of new adult romance, second chance romance or sports romance might want to check it out.
Hello Forever is the second novel in the Pay It Forward series. It can be read as a standalone since it's about a different couple. If you read Goodbye Paradise then you will get to catch up with Caleb and Josh. Ok, back to Axel and Cax's amazing story...
Six years. It's been six years since Axel and Cax have seen each other. It was also the first and last time they kissed under the trees at sixteen. Cax disappeared after that day and Axel never forgot about the boy that was once his best friend. Now, fate has stepped in and they are in the same city again. Even working at the same college. Axel doesn't know anything about the life Cax is living now but he can't let this opportunity go. He won't. He needs him back in his life even if it's just has friends.
Cax can't believe Axel is here. The attraction is still there. He wants him more than ever but he can't go there. He has too much to lose if they are caught once again. He hopes Axel understands that they can not be together. He doesn't even think they can be together in secret. Even though he wants to be so badly. His life has been miserable since the day he had to walk away from him six years ago. He doesn't want to walk away again but is their love worth the risk?
Axel and Cax's relationship is heartbreaking and beautiful. It's sexy and sweet. It's emotional and fun. It's everything. But this is not just about them. There is more to this story than just a couple that want their forever. It's about family, friends, and risks. I loved their story!
Overall...I loved every minute. Well, maybe not every single minute but it was close. You will see why when you read it. The characters are well developed and amazing. The story is addicting. The writing is wonderful. I can't wait for the next book!
“I’ll tell you what I want,” he said, kissing my chin. “I want to drag you over to that bed and find out if you’re a top or a bottom.”
“God, Axel. You’re killing me. I hate saying no to you when I really want to say yes.”
“You’re pimping out my chicken with garlic, feta and lemon?”
