Hiding in the Dark: Short Tales of the Macabre

Short Tales of the Macabre

This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device, and with iTunes on your computer. Books can be read with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

A woman, stalked by a living terror from her distant past. A man, utterly consumed by his desire for vengeance. A house, decrepit and abandoned, save for its single monstrous inhabitant. The worlds in which these scenarios reside may differ, but all can be reached through the pages of Ben Crofton's debut anthology: Hiding in the Dark.

First experience with a digital book

I was very skeptical about a digital book. Getting the right book I think made the difference. I really enjoyed these stories they were just enough of a "good" scare to hook me into reading all of them and they were free.
I'm looking forward to reading more books by Ben Crofton, in fact I enjoyed his short stories so much that I purchased his book trial by night. I can't wait to get into it!

Great stories

Keep up the good work man. I love stories like these. They're kind of child-esque horror stories but with an adult like twist. Not saying they're "kiddy" but more as though stories u would hear as a kid that would definitely leave u disturbed and a little shaken. Not many people write stuff like this and it's a shame cuz I think these kind of short stories/novels would explode if they went mainstream. Lol it's like R.L. Stine had a collaboration with Stephen King or Clive Barker. Lol anyways enough with the comparisons. Just keep the stories comin please :)

The first 2 stories are very promising as well as the rest but they seem to have a hard time finishing. You get engrossed in the stories and then they just end with a weird explanation or lack thereof.
Still the stories are entertaining and they will keep involved.

Can't beat the price.
