Elle Keaton's volumn 6, "Unforgivable" novel in the "Accidental Roots" series, actually introduces the escapades of two best friends, both working as summer fire-fighters, Rod Belton and Travis Walker, both twenty four years old, who have known each other since the third grade! Who have become like brothers to each other, bound in friendship.

When Rod's parents move to Wala Wala, Washington, Rod's first confusing day entering his new class room is compounded by being alone, shy and uncertain for any future friendship and growth prospects! Standing alone, Rod looking into a sea of unfamiliar staring faces - hesitant - when Travis speaks up, "hey, come sit in the desk next to mine" - pointing his finger, beaconing the new kid class mate, Rodney, to join-in their study classroom! Afterwards, Travis enjoys taking the 'new kid' with him during their breaks around the playground, helping his new classmate to join in the daily class activities! Establishing a friendship bond allowing them to become life-long adult buddies.

In early September, after their fire-fighting assignments are completed, setteling in Skagit at the "Loft" bar, the pair meet twenty three year old Cameron, who bar tends for Sterling Bailey, the barkeep owner. Travis hangs a couple of weeks, enjoying his bachelorhood, sewing a few, too many, gay boy oats on his own, while leaving Rod alone, who becomes friends with Cameron - while Travis swings like a jungle monkey from one cute twink after another!

Heading home after four weeks, to the Walker Family Wheat Farm, where he will help his dad Michael Walker; Travis working and assuming his role and liability with the family crop planting; navigating his family's farm responsibilities!

Moving to Skagit, Rod, as he has matured, has become Travis 'best friend' -who is invited to join the Walker family Thanks Giving holiday. Shocked and surprised, Rod learns .. during the Walker's Thanks Giving Day dinner party, - actually stunned, when Travis, announces, out of the blue, he and his childhood next door neighbor Lisa are engaged, asking, his dinner house-guest and 'best friend' ...
