I’m about to throw an ashtray at my boss’s head.
Turns out, the mind behind my favorite, steamy romance novels...the ones I only read in private...the ones that are my only escape after a long day of dealing with The Boss From Hell? It’s not Natalie McBride, the sweet, rural housewife.
That’s right: my boss, Adrian Risinger, the thirty-three-year-old, maddeningly sexy, pissant billionaire “bad boy" who thinks he runs my life. He is also the author of all my deepest, most secret fantasies. And to make matters worse, he needs me to impersonate “Natalie” at a series of book signings and conventions. But, of course, that’s only if I want to keep my job.
On second thought, I’m going to need something heavier than an ashtray.
Move over E.L. James, there's a new author in town...
I literally stayed up ALL night to read this book because I couldn't put it down. I'd finished "I Married A Master" around 3:30am and was intending to go to sleep, but just wanted a peek at the newly downloaded book I'd pre-ordered and couldn't wait to read. Oops. 5 hours later...
This book had me invested in the characters and I felt like I was Meghan through so much of it. I had butterflies in my tummy, I had huge grins in certain places, and laughed out loud in others. And it was HOT HOT HOT! Not as intense as Fifty Shades, but to me it was even hotter and more relevant and relatable.
Also, Melanie either took more time with this book or has a better team of editors because I only found 1 error in this book (and even that she may have intended) as opposed to the several typos and continuity errors I found in her previous books. Her style is better, her characters pull you in, she has grown as a writer just in these last couple books, getting better and better. Can't wait to see what she has in store next!
Very good read!
This had the right amount of funny and sexy. A really good read!
Why does it have to be a chubby girl. Such a turn off... And unrealistic.
