The Werewolf Bodyguard

My favorite in the series - I just loved Aria and Marco together. They both have their issues, but those issues are make them them so great. Marco is afraid to be intimate and let his wolf out - he thinks he may lose control. Aria is a bit jealous of her friend from book one, and is out on the prowl for a little fix.

Marco is amazingly sensual. As a chef he has learned the value of texure and subtlety. This carries over into his sexual interactions - whcih are quite unique and sound very exciting. It doesn't hurt that his found sounds delicious too! He may be seductive, but he needs to let go of some things before he can really find happiness. Aria, well, she's something else. She's a little crazy with jealousy, but not in a bad way - and she's being a bit proactive about going out and finding herself a man. Even if it is just for one night.

The Werewolf Bodyguard really opens up the spin off storyline wide open and sets up the whole story arc in a way that you will be sucked into never to return - at least until you finish the series.

Fall in Love with The Werewolf Bodyguard

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was a bit apprehensive going into the second book due to my mild disappointment from the first, but boy was I glad that I got over it! I loved Marco and Aria’s relationship!

The Werewolf Ranger, co-authored by Camryn Rhys and Krystal Shannan, takes off right where The Werewolf Cowboy ends. Instead of following the VonBrandt men, it shifts to Reyna’s best friend, Aria, and her venturing off to try what chef Marco has to offer. And he does have to offer quite a bit!

What Aria doesn’t realize is that Marco is an unbonded wolf. It is with the help from Aria and her pack that they help Marco in trying to find where his mother is and who is father is. This is where a thicker plot begins to develop that is still unsolved at the current book I am on in the series (I’m on the 5th one right now! lol). Marco and Aria consummate their relationship, but it isn’t until Aria does the chant that they become bounded to one another. This causes some tensions between the two of them, but then Marco realizes and understands that they are fated for one another.

Aria is a much better female lead that Reyna was. While her and Marco both felt the pull of the magick between them, it was mutual for them both in spite of some of Marco’s hesitations due to his past relationships with humans. Believing he was a monster, Aria allows for Marco to do some deep character growth and for their relationship to truly flourish and for their mating to make them stronger.

After finishing this novella, it left me with questions though! I needed to know how Marco had managed to go his whole life without knowing who is father is, as he is not the only unbonded wolf. The deeper plot that is weaved throughout the first half of this series is thickening, and I can’t wait to share more of my thoughts on the next book in the series, The Werewolf Ranger.
