"An unexpected evil brings both the MC and Military world together in this brand new series by J.M. Walker"
He refuses to fall in love.
He was born alone and he will die alone. Or, at least he thought so until now.
Vice-One is all he knows. His squad. His brothers. The men he spends every day protecting. He is empty and only one person can fill this void. This darkness.
Meanwhile, Genevieve Gold makes it clear he should stay away when she is everything he craves.
She is lost.
Her heart has been ripped out; stomped on...crushed into tiny pieces, leaving only a gaping hole behind.
King's Harlots is all she has. Her club. Her sisters. Her life. But something is missing until he shows up.
Angel Rodriguez is everything she hates but everything she needs.
Putting differences aside, they will work together to bring down a malevolent force threatening to rip them apart...
Unexpected, compelling - MC meets military
Love this twist, an all-girls MC club. I didn’t realize that was the focus of this story until I dove in and got sucked into the drama. Jay’s dad is the president of an MC club so she grew up in the life of an MC. When her twin sister disappears, she struggles, always having been the one to follow the rules, she pushes herself to be more like Violet and starts her own MC. Jay works very hard to build her club in a male dominated world, never backing down and giving her all to her “family”. Jay and Angel cross paths when Angel’s construction crew is working on the clubhouse for Jay. Their first interaction is electric as these two alpha personalities clash while being totally attracted to each other. Jay’s other passion is stopping human trafficking in her town which puts her directly in Angel’s path. A unique bond is formed between the special ops team Angel leads and the crew from Jay’s MC club. There is intense drama as this gritty tale unfolds. Through it all, will two souls that feel unworthy of love, find a path to love? Very compelling, kept me guessing and I truly loved the banter and chemistry that Jay and Angel shared.
I really enjoyed this book! Looking forward to the next sister's story!
