Get To The Heart tells a story of, well, storytelling in such a clear and easy to read way. I’m in the research and strategy industry and there are so many details I could relate to throughout. Yet, the story isn’t just ‘relatable’, it provides a unique perspective on how to leverage storytelling in an impactful way - that benefits both myself and my clients. It doesn’t hurt that it is also a fun and interesting read. I know I’ll come back to time and again - plus its a great excuse to revisit some classic movies as a bonus.

I know the title of this review sounds a bit overly promotional, but I really can't recommend this book enough for anyone who has ever stood in front of a crowd and tried to get a point across with data-rich information. Ted is a master at synthesizing complex information into visually compelling messages that stick with an audience. In this book, he’s laid all his secrets bare, in a detailed, comprehensive, and visually compelling way. And, with a twist of matter-of-fact wry wit that makes it enjoyable to read. Whether you're a CEO speaking to investors, or a research director presenting results of a new study, this book is essential if you want your message to be heard and have an impact.
