An elderly woman appears to have committed suicide, but the evidence tells a different story. To add to the mystery is the collection of newspaper clippings spanning decades of people who have gone missing.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
Brandon Barnett has been given the promotion of a lifetime. There's just one problem; he can't afford a house. Even the apartments cost more than his present mortgage. Then a letter arrives informing him he's inherited the house of his dreams. He's heard about the place all his life. The old photographs show a magnificent estate.
IT JUST MIGHT COME TRUE
Alyssa Barnett couldn't wait to move to San Diego, California. It's on the ocean and the sun shines year round. She's just not keen on living in the run-down monstrosity her husband has inherited, but he adores it, so she'll try and make it work.
ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS
Soon she begins having disturbing dreams. When she awakes she finds herself in the most peculiar places. As the endless renovations continue a hidden room is discovered and along with it clues to the manor's dark past. Then a horrifying event occurs and she finally has validation. But with every penny they own sunk into the hellish money pit, moving is out of the question. They have no choice but to seek help.

When Tim barely escapes with his life, Jane knows the case is too complex for them to handle so she calls in the big guns; The Thibodeux Foundation out of New Orleans.

Creepy and Fantastic
Spirits of Seacliff Manor was a spooky, fun read that is perfect for this time of year. I love paranormal stories and this one had it all! The characters were well developed and the story was fascinating. It kept me on the edge on my seat wondering what would happen next. And the spirits were beyond creepy. I actually felt as if I was in the house with them, seeing what they saw. All in all, a terrific read.
must read series
OMG I loved this one , and I have to say that this one hands down might be my all time favorite of this series, ok, so since I can't make up my mind I'm going to with that their all my favorites , I love how in each of the books you get to see the characters meet up in the next one and so on, love how there is a touch of the LQTB world since one of the main characters is gay, love the romance that happenes ,but it doens't take anything away from the stories, and the characters keep getten better each time we see them, once again and I don't know how many times I can say this but Morgan Hannah MacDonald has away of bring her stories to life,so much so that they reach out and grab you, and when that happens your done for, its like she loves to missing a round with your mind, heart, and soul but in a good way. Their the type of stories that that you can pick upvand read from 1 to book 4 and so on, plus their the perfect type of stories to read when its a stormy day or night , what can I say if you want a story that is hair rising, and keeps you on the edge of your set or bed then this is the series for you, with that said I would love to say thinks to Morgan Hannah MacDonald for send me a copy of her book to read in a change for my honest opinion , which this is 100 % ,
Seacliff Manor has harbored evil for over a century.
Seacliff Manor has harbored evil for over a century. A house built out of love by a man for his wife in the 1800's ends up being a nightmare for all those that have lived in it since.
I looked at this book as a 3 act play. The first act deals with a young married couple who inherit Seacliff Manor from a long lost relative of the husband. It is bad shape so the wife is overseeing the restoration while her husband is away for weeks at a time for his job. After her younger sister come for a visit they both notice strange things happening around the house. After those things get more violent the sister calls a pair of paranormal researchers.
The second act is the paranormal researchers and their equipment assistant. After they set up their video equipment and see for themselves that there are defiantly spirits in the house they do a room by room search which almost ends up in tragedy for one of the paranormal researchers. It is after this that they realize they need to call The Thibodeux Foundation for assistance.
This then kicks off the third and final act of the story. The Thibodeux Foundation send a demonologist and psychometrist to Seacliff Manor. Together the two teams figure out what exactly is haunting Seacliff Manor and learn of the many people it has murdered who have been trapped in the house – some for a 100 years. When the wife becomes possessed by the evil spirit they know they have to rid the house once and for all of the demon.
There were defiantly some thrilling, scary scenes through out the story and the history of Seacliff Manor was fascinating but the three parts to the story (what I am choosing to call them) didn't flow well. The story felt choppy in places especially during the changing between the main characters – Brandon and Alyssa Barnett and Courtney (married couple and the sister), the paranormal researchers Jane Spencer, Tim Reeves and Danny and then Jake Spaulding (demonologist) and Sara Crow (psychometrist). Overall though I love this series and this was another great spooky read.
