Forget all those other accidental pregnancy romances you might have read.
Daisy and Carter don't have a one-night stand...because it's thirty minutes in a back room at a wedding reception. And Carter isn't a bad boy baby-daddy...except for the motorcycle, tattoos, and attitude. Daisy doesn't have the typical issues with her pregnancy...if you don't count the morning sickness, food cravings, and occasional horniness. And Carter doesn't hang around all the time, wanting both her and the baby...until he falls in love.
But they definitely don't become a happy family...right away.
Daisy has always been a good girl. She's never done anything wild or spontaneous until she has a little too much to drink at a wedding and has a fling with a sexy stranger. She thought they were careful, but accidents happen. And now she's going to have the baby of a man she barely knows.
Carter is her opposite in every way and completely the wrong man for her. They can still work out a reasonable arrangement regarding the baby. But the more time she spends with him, the less reasonable she feels. And he's acting all possessive and protective, so it gets harder and harder to convince herself that he's just the father of her baby.
She wants him to be so much more.
I enjoyed reading Complicated by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams, the third book in their Preston’s Mills series. What happens when a good girl throws caution to the wind and has a one-night stand? Oh wait, make that thirty minutes of fun time with a tattooed, tough looking biker only to find that the condom breaks. As expected, Daisy finds herself pregnant and knows nothing about Carter, especially his last name or where he lives. Carter isn’t really a bad boy and he wants to be involved with the pregnancy and the baby any way that Daisy will share. The more time these two spend together, the more they care for each other, but avoid sharing that tidbit with the other. The question is, will these two be able to overcome the obstacles they accidently establish in order to become a happy family.
Complicating is a great story with plenty of attempts at romance! I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting it down. I recommend this book to other readers. It makes for a wonderful, light easy beach read. Although this book is part of a series it is a standalone story.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Witty, heart warming, and utterly charming. Those are the words that jump to my mind when describing this book. Daisey and Carter couldn't be more different but perfectly right for each other. She's a good girl, he's got a bad boy vibe. She loves her small town of Preston, he's all about city life. Yet as different as they are they hit it off right away when they first meet at a friends wedding. That one night would change both their lives but the road to a HEA is definitely filled with potholes.
This is a wonderfully written story (the authors make quite a team) and these characters will grab your heart right from the first page. Put this on the must read list. I highly recommend it.
A great read
This book was the perfect addition to the Preston Mills series!!
I love the different sides that Carter and Daisy bring out in each other. Carter makes Daisy want to be a little more daring, stepping out of her shyness a bit. Daisy brings out this sweet tender side of Carter that you can't help but fall in love with. There were points in this book where I wasn't feeling Daisy at all (I get that she was hormonal, but some of the stuff just irked me a bit) but in the end, it all turned out perfect!!!
This is definitely a must read!
