Description

She's not who he thinks she is.

It wasn't Rayne's fault, Cameron just assumed she was one of his rich friends and not one of the waitresses who served them. But he's nice and sweet and genuinely seems like he wants to get to know her. Giving in to her desires, Rayne goes against her better judgment and continues the charade. He's the forever kind of guy, that once in a lifetime love.  Now that she's had a taste of it, of him and his world, she doesn't want to give it up.

That choice isn't hers to make, though.

3stars

This was a short and sweet book. I just wished it was a little bit longer in order to get to know the characters a little bit more but all in all a good read.

Shorter sweet story of first loves

I really enjoyed this book! Rayne is a waitress and meets Cameron a wealthy man. They start a relationship, where she pretends to be from wealth, but hating herself for lying to Cameron. Will Rayne tell Cameron? Will Cameron stay with Rayne if she does tell him? Sweet couple!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

a quick read

I have read all of Charlotte Casey's books and have loved them, but this one just fell flat for me. It is more of a novella than a full length novel and I think that it would have been better if it was a bit longer so that we could really learn more about the characters. It really felt like all we knew about Cameron and Rayne were their jobs, their social status, and that they liked each other. I want to know more about them - their background stories, why they are attracted to each other, etc.
Pros:
good storyline
steamy sex scenes
insta-lust/practically insta-love if that is your kind of book
Dual POV
HEA with no cheating and no cliffhanger

Cons:
not enough character development.
I had a hard time liking Rayne in that I felt like she really needed to trust Cameron and tell the truth. Yet, she dragged it on even though she knew it was wrong. She does finally redeem herself.
I love books with a dual POV and the author does a great job with this for the most part, but in some sections of the book, it was confusing because the POV changed nearly every paragraph rather than every chapter.

I received this book as an ARC from Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.
