"HE LOVES LONG, LOVES HARD, BUT HE DON'T LOVE EASY."
Katrina Vega is set on one thing: finishing college. She's determined not to let anything or anyone distract her, especially not hot brooding bikers. On her mission to stay focused, she doesn't expect to be pulled into the fold of a motorcycle club, let alone into the arms of Alec "Mute" Stillwater.
Unable to keep her guard up, Katrina soon discovers that beneath the hard and rough exterior of a family she's grown to care for, there's also loyalty and passion she's envious of. But falling for the club's enforcer will not only threaten her plans but quite possibly her life.
Just read it and fall in love along with us.
There's just something about the MC lifestyle, the idea of family, that feeling of belonging, being someone's old lady and I mean sure can't forget those club bunnies, they need some love too. For me, its all about the alpha men who you can't help but fall in love with. And yes their bikes too. I mean sure Mute comes off rude and cold but no matter how big and scary he might be, there's a softness and warmth there.
With a past like his, I understand his reservations and attitude towards Kat. She's typically too soft and innocent for his world.. especially involving herself with a man like him. So he tries not to go there. He doesn't see her lasting around him or his fellow bikers anyway. Yet he couldn't be more wrong. He underestimates her. Which I liked about her character. It's true she is kind and sweet but her past made her strong. She's tougher than she looks. No matter how much she tried in the beginning to cloak herself with invisibility, shes finds a place among her new family and steals the hearts of those around her.
“When <spoiler> looks at you, I see a man who likes you and wants you.”
“When Mute looks at you, I see a man who needs you and needs you bad. Needs you so bad it consumes him every day.”
Mutes letter to Kat, his prayer to God and the ending..... it was beautiful and sad...it made me cry. Old man Mackie will forever be one of my favorites. Mute was right...he's not a good man and he doesn't promise to be one but for Kat, he would die for her, no question about that. "He loves long and he loves hard and he loves complete, but he don’t love easy."
Loved this book
I loved this book. This story reminded me of why I love reading books so much.
Really was getting into the story, then bang, epilogue and it’s over. No hospital story?
I really like the picture of Mute on the cover with his chewed nails and flowing hair. But the obvious, heavy foundation ruins it.
