Magnetic Pulse - The Hot Voltage Series (A BWWM/IR Romance)
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
Magnetic Pulse is an action-packed heart-pounding romantic thrill-ride.
It wasn’t a chance encounter or love at first sight that brought Bo Stratton and Austin McKenzie together, but fear, desperation, and need. That trio of emotions kept them close. Close enough for Bo to realize that Austin makes her heart race . . . her blood boil . . . and her body pulse. Unfortunately, she can’t stand him. As a matter of fact, she would like to be as far away from him as possible. There is just one small problem . . . calamity has forced them together.
Maybe there wasn't just one problem - her dislike for Austin McKenzie could only be rivaled by her attraction.
Magnetic Pulse is book 1 in The Hot Voltage Series. Follow the events that lead Bo and Austin on an unbelievable journey as society begins to unravel and they fall in love. For mature audiences only.
Mostly not To My Tastes (a Single Opinion)
I must first say that this book is pretty well-written, although a few colloquialisms don’t fit with the rest of the tone, and feel too “folksy” or “street” for the speaker.
My major objections, which are mostly idiosyncratic to me; 1) certain romances make me very nervous, and I avoid them. Nothing in the blurb suggests this storyline, and it was jarring, and then anxiety-producing, to read…until, 2) it does not end. It’s not a standalone. that may be a spoiler for some, but I consider it a courtesy for authors to say the story will continue.
I received a copy of this book through iBooks for an honest review, and am providing my opinion free of coercion.
In this story Bo and Austin got it going on!!! Bo is the little sister of Bryce who is Austin's best friend and military comrade. After an EMP takes out the entire country they are forced to come together for the greater good meaning survive. When a group hit the compound they are forced to make difficult decisions. All I can say is I want me an Austin!!!
Heart pounding read!
This book was something new and different for Ms. Vasser, but that’s definitely a good thing. This book had my heart racing and picture Austin in my mind had my tummy pulsing. I wonder what’s going to happen next in this chaotic world that Ms. Vasser created, truly makes you think what would you do in that type of situation? What situation you may ask read this wonderful book to find out!
