When a child's game goes delightfully wrong, Jude finds himself rethinking his current status quo and begins looking to Nannette to make sense of his own life.
Nannette is trying not to get distracted by the sexy firefighter, but when her artistic retreat begins in disaster, Jude's playing the hero she can't ignore. Suddenly, her artwork is completely changed with Jude's exquisite lines transforming her landscapes.
Up until now, their life was like a notebook full of doodles, but it's turning into a full-fledged art showing, and neither of them know how to deal with the embers of desire when they ignite into flames.

a child’s game changes everything
Annette moves to the small mountain town to make a name for herself as an artist. Jude is a local fireman looking for something he can’t quite put his finger on. A silly game of truth or dare changes everything.
SUCH a good read, def will keep going in the series...
So we got a taste of this small mountain town I’ve grown to love in Conley’s Fortune’s Kiss—which I highly recommend, by the way. That book completely left me hoping Conley would provide more of this town and she did not disappoint.
This installment efficiently introduces us to the town and some of its key players: some of the firemen, a couple of art gallery owners, the ski lodges, the town’s personality, etc. All of it serves to hook me in and I just want more. She also lays the groundwork for some of the star characters and their drama in the other books the series so I’m forever wanting more and cannot get this series fast enough.
As the title implies there are games involved—but don’t assume they’re juvenile. They’re heated and will lead to loads of drama, making for an exciting ride. The opening scene sets the tone as we get various types of drama and some carnal attraction right off the bat, all centered around this book’s stars: Jude and Annette. Jude is a great character that you’ll likely find yourself rooting for. There’s another you’ll love to hate and others you’ll want to see more of. This has all the makings of a great way to spend a couple hours. Get lost in this small town and you won’t be disappointed.
Truth Or Dare
Having recently broken up with Everly, Jude finds himself at the local bar with his firefighter buddies. In a game of Truth or Dare, Jude takes a Dare to kiss anyone in the bar. Thinking he'll choose his ex, Jude surprises everyone by choosing a beautiful stranger. Jude tells her it's part of a Dare, allowing her to make the decision.
Annette, new to Pamona Gulch, is tired of doing what's expected of her. So she takes the Dare. The chemistry is off the charts! Jude wants to continue seeing this woman who's turned his world upside down, but she's leery. She moved from Texas to start over and make a go of being an artist, not fall into another relationship. But they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Will Annette be able to juggle both a career and Jude?
Truth Or Dare is the first in a new series by Anne Conley. The chemistry between Jude and Annette sparks like fire. Jude will never give up his career as a firefighter, so he needs someone who's willing to take a chance on him going to work and possibly not coming back. It's been a deal breaker in his past relationships. Annette needs someone who supports her and her art. I loved the pairing of these two! If Jude can get Annette to take a chance on him, he's in it for the long haul. I can't wait to see what Anne has planned for the rest of the firemen! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
