Black Lion’s Bride
Book 2, Warrior Trilogy
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Daughter of the King of the Assassins, Zahirah was trained to be as deadly as she is beautiful. When she steals into the desert camp of the English army, she has one goal: to banish the crusaders from her homeland by murdering King Richard the Lionheart. Her deceptive strategy delivers her into the hands of the enemy—and puts her at the mercy of the dashing Black Lion, Sebastian of Montborne.
Fighting for peace in a dangerous, exotic land, Sebastian never dreamed that the tides of war would bring him a mysterious beauty in need of his protection. Nor could he guess that the lady who ignites his heart is the very enemy he has sworn to destroy on behalf of his king. Caught in a deadly game of passion and deception, their unbidden love could cost Sebastian and Zahirah their lives….
Good read. Little to predictable though
Good read but hardly believable...
I read White Lion's Lady and enjoyed it so much that I looked forward to reading this book. I fell in like with Sebastian in the first book so I couldn't wait to learn of his story and fall for love in this book. I was rooting for Sebastian & Zahirah but couldn't wrap my mind around how the relationship could work out in the end after the blatant lies and betrayals on her part.
In the end it just didn't seem feasible or believable that he forgave her blatant lies and murder attempt, I don't care who's your daddy!!!! On more than one occasion he gave her the chance to come clean but she lied. Then after the jump & disappearing act she shows up 3months later and they live happily ever after...NOPE NOT DIGESTING THAT! The ball was dropped on the ending. The way the characters were written did not allow a realistic way for them to get back together. Her side was all lies all the time and he was the EARL OF STUPID!
I finished the book but have absolutely no desire to press further in this series.
Book1 was great...Book 2 not so much but I gave it 3 stars seeing as I did pay to read it
Black Lion's Bride
I was impressed by many facets of the first book in the series, White Lion's Lady. This 2nd story is still beautifully written, although you will see repetitive wording from book to book in the series. But, don't stop--the 3rd book is beautifully written, as well, with another love story between strong, wounded characters.
