Something just tapped into my soul
I had no idea what to expect with the purchase of this book nor my motives to do so. I've been feeling remiss for quite some time with my Autodidact-drive and yearning for facts and figures and all that non fiction has to tempt, taint and taunt me with. That inexorably pulls me endlessly towards but always just leaves me -abysmally wanting and forever out of reach. We should perhaps all search, feel and wonder how to satiate our emptiness and longing to fill the missing vacuums of words and expressions and desires that seem to ache and tells us 'something's missing'a seemingly never ending quixotic journey in our desperate search for our own personal holy grails of visual and readable stimuli towards satisfaction. I wish you all luck. I inhaled this collective, visual poetic, bare expressive book on this beautiful crisp cold morning in Brooklyn - and was left feeling and reeling in the likelihood that I may be close to reaching mine. What a Beautiful slightly haunting slightly joyous expressive personal work that spoke and engulfed me-this truly is.
Monica captures an essence in all her moments that are portrayed. This essence we can all identity with through our own living moments. The essence recalls with such clarity our relationships within the world we have lived, whether it be in nature, city life, ordinary moments and especially our relationships with the world around us. Duality is ying and yang we swing between yet the essence that Monica captures brings it back to ONE in all our living moments.
