I am enjoying this series. Both the heroes and heroines come from such terrible circumstances yet are able to find their one true love. This story is about Emma and Dray. They knew each other when they were young, Dray even asked for her hand. Due to parental cruelty, it never came about. After years of surviving, they find themselves together. Emma has become independent and wants to stay that way. Despite her history, she wants to live freely and happily. Dray had despaired ever having her as his but made sure that Emma was protected financially, the only way he could. The strength and love of both characters kept me reading. I highly recommend this book.
