Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly erotic, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force—a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses. It is a novel only Anne Rice could write.
Look for a special preview of Anne Rice’s Prince Lestat in the back of the book. The Vampire Chronicles continue in Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, available for pre-order now.
Praise for Interview with the Vampire
“A magnificent, compulsively readable thriller . . . Rice begins where Bram Stoker and the Hollywood versions leave off and penetrates directly to the true fascination of the myth–the education of the vampire.”—Chicago Tribune
“Unrelentingly erotic . . . sometimes beautiful, and always unforgettable.”—Washington Post
“If you surrender and go with her . . . you have surrendered to enchantment, as in a voluptuous dream.”—Boston Globe
“A chilling, thought-provoking tale, beautifully frightening, sensuous, and utterly unnerving.”—Hartford Courant
From the Paperback edition.
Best thing since Twilight...surely you jest.
Interview was the impetus for Twilight, but much better. The entire Vampire Chronicle series is a must read. And when you are done, read about the Mayfair Witches. Glad to see this e-book.
Interview with the Vampire
The story starts a bit slow and sleepy, but as the characters develop and their stories intertwine it quickly becomes a page turner.
IWTV Is The Best Vampire Story Ever
This is my favorite book of all times. A friend had suggested that I read it and I was reluctant about it. I'm glad I gave in because years later it remains as exciting as it was the first time I read it. I don't know why people compare it to the Twilight series. They have nothing in common except for vampire characters. I prefer Anne Rice's vampires. If you want to see vampires in a different light than anything you've ever read, this is the book for you. It's beautifully written. If you saw the movie, forget what you saw. The movie is completely different from the book. I didn't like it. Read the book, you will love it.
