Into the Fire

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Despite everything I've done for my parents, I'll never be good enough for them. Instead of seeing a man to be proud of, they just see an embarrassment. I served four tours in Afghanistan but that doesn't mean anything to them. They only see the ink, the party life, and my short stint in jail.

And nothing else.

When they were in trouble, I handed over my life savings. I didn't think twice about it because they're my family, my blood. They raised me to be my own man and gave me everything I needed. It didn't matter that it was every penny I had. It didn't matter that the money was set aside for my future. My dreams.
Because they needed me.

But now they refuse to pay me back until I become the man they think I should be.

I have an unusual professional.

I escort men, acting as their date to family functions or work parties. It's my job to act deeply in love with my client. And I always nail it.

But it's not what you think.

I'm not a prostitute.
I'm not a call girl.
I'm an actress.
Get it right.

There are strict rules when it comes to my profession. There is no touching, kissing, or anything but hand-holding. Those who choose not to comply will get a swift kick in the nuts.

But all this goes to hell when Ash walks into my life.

Into The Fire Advanced Copy

I got an advanced copy of this book and first I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to read it. Second I would like to say that E. L. Todd is an amazing writer and you will not be disappointed with this book. This book is based on two main characters, Ash and Alessandra. Amazing names for these two people. The story line was about a boy that is owed money by his parents that he let borrow in their time of need. It is an interesting book from start to finish. It's a little weird that the parents wouldn't give him his money back but the reasoning behind this is acceptable as only a parent would know best how to address their child they think is spiraling out of control. Alessandra went through heartache and Ash is a ex military womanizer that never wanted to settle down but meets his match in his escort. Great book and trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. Just let me say ladies, while reading this book, you will be left fantasizing about his hot body.

Into the fire review

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, and I am going to provide it.
E.L Todd’s book, Into the Fire, was wonderful. It was funny, romantic; it had angst, and drama. I love contemporary romance. I think what draws me into contemporary romance is that women can relate to the characters. They represent modern women and how we feel and what tends to go through our heads. I think most modern women want a man that is sexy, alpha, and sensitive. We want an all-around good guy. Or, at least some semblance of that. Reality is much different then what we read in romance, but I think modern women can find something that comes close.
This is book one in the series and I can’t wait to read the next in the series, because I like continuance and I like to read about what’s going to happen next. She also has a back list of other books that she’s written, and I can’t wait to read her other works as well.
I loved the relationship between Ash and Alessandra. They really are perfect for each other. They complement each other, they are each other’s strength, they cheer each other on, they can be themselves with each other. They are true blue best friends. I love reading about that. I truly believe that people have to be each other’s friends before they can be each other’s lovers.
I loved Ash. He went through life opening his mouth and inserting his foot, but he really is harmless. He was spoken about throughout the book as having layers, and it’s true, he really does have layers. He reveals himself slowly, reluctantly, grudgingly, but he does reveal hidden depths about himself that endears himself to the reader. He is also untamable, stubborn, hardheaded, and he has zero filter and says exactly what’s on his mind and in his heart, whether the other person wants to hear it or not. He made me laugh and he endeared himself on my heart.
Alessandra is a women that needs to be tough and ballsy so that men don’t take advantage of her. She has what it takes to not allow herself to be intimidated by anyone and has the smarts to support herself now as well as in the future. She’s smart, sexy, and determined to make herself be successful at her career.
This was a fast read and made me giggle as I read it. I loved it.

Too hot to handle

Ash hires Alessandra to play his girlfriend. His parents want him to find someone who will change him and he cannot have that. He just wants his parents to pay him back them money he loaned them.

Alessandra impresses his parents and it goes rather smooth. What Ash didn't count on was wanting to spend time with her. All the time. What did he ever do without her?

Ash is more than just a client. Alessandra will have to change her plan where he is concerned. She is more than attracted to him. She likes his humor, his honesty, his loyalty to his parents...

This is such a sweet and yet smoking hot read. I found the banter entertaining. The story has such a good pace also.
