The Unofficial Handbook
Minute Help Guides
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
This eBook aims to provide just that guidance: to show you how to use both the introductory and the advanced functions of Numbers Mobile in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step way. We feel there are many advanced features that even the beginning user will enjoy using within it, and that it is possible to learn both if the approach is one of simple, clear, step-by-step instructions.
In the first section we cover keyboarding for the iPad, because that is an essential part of the data entry experience you’ll have when you use Numbers on it. In the second section, we help you get the basics of the program down, including document management and basic formatting. In the third section, we provide detailed, step-by-step processes for making the most of the software’s advanced graphical and data entry features: tables, charts, shapes, and photos (as well as document setup functions like setting the margins). From there, we move into templates, showing you how (and when) to use templates, and where to find more online.
To wrap up, we show you in the second-to-last section how to save and share documents out of the program. And finally, because your experience working with Numbers will be even better if you can print and share your documents easily, we will discuss a number of third party apps that can help you print and share all kinds of documents from an iPad, not just Numbers documents.

The free manual contains more useful information.
Like many Help books written by Geeks this book explains the general how to's in a way that assumes you already know how to do it. Then it gives detail explanations on such useful junk as how to put borders around photographs you may want to put in your spreadsheet, something most people could care less about. In other words the basics are not explained in enough detail and the frills that one would rarely if ever use are given to much attention.
Is there book out there that help
This did not help me much. And there are no illustrations. But i now can open a spreadsheet and tables and wow there are keyboards. I figure this stuff out from the instructions. Please teach me how to write my name. Don't bother. At least it got me through the workout on the treadmill.
