As a handbook and resource guide, ‘A is for Action’ walks you through the A-Z of how to take social action and become a change agent.
This book will improve your self-esteem, help you become more confident in your abilities to problem-solve, and will inspire you to change the world for the better.
‘A is for Action’ was created as a result of peer-reviewed research (published in the IB Journal of Teaching Practice on February 28, 2013), and includes an online component, featuring extensive curriculum resources and students showing the book’s lessons in practice.
This book is highly recommended by action leaders from UNICEF’s Voices of Youth, the UN Volunteers, KIDS can make a difference, and is considered a must-have by IB coordinators for all students in the PYP Exhibition.
Perfect for help to understand the PYP Exhibition process!
This book is fantastic! It really helps take teacher and students through the process of taking action and making a positive change in the world. I can not wait to read this to my students and help them choose something they are passionate about to take real action. I also want to share it with my niece and nephew so they can begin their journey into making a difference in our world! Excellent resource for any classroom, especially International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) classrooms and teachers facilitating The PYP Exhibition. I really enjoyed the use of the IB Learner Profile attributes and the PYP attitudes throughout the book. Really well written! I can not wait for more from these authors!
