A good read!
The story was intriguing, the characters were smart and funny. This is actually my second time reading this book.
My only criticism is that the author has this fascination with having the characters touching each others' faces much too often. And not always in a romantic situation. That creeps me out. I know this story was written pre-Covid, but even with that consideration, I find that gross! I've always been disgusted by anyone trying to touch my mouth, my nose, my eyes or just anywhere on my face!
But even with that one annoyance, I enjoyed the story enough to read it twice!
Still My Favorite
I was a teenager the first time I read this book. Decades later its still my favorite by NR. Adrianna is the ultimate heroine. Beautiful, independent, strong and a girl with a plan. Her tragic life dedicated to caring for a depressed ill mother made her unwilling to love. Phillip comes along and try to change that. He proves by helping her with a dangerous but brilliant plan of revenge. Very engaging and beautifully written.
Just Fabulous!
This is one of those Nora Roberts' books which is one of a kind! You can never be wrong with her books!
