Getting old is Murder
I love to laugh. I laughed hard at some of the antics of Gladdy and her girls.
I love to read books that explore social issues, as does this book with growing old.
I loved the movie "Last Vegas" that showed the evolving ideals of older indviduals. This book has that same wonderful enlightenment that the four older men in the movie found.
I love independence, friendship, and loyalty. I also admire a persons ability to forgive. This book delves into the lives and traits of senior citizens with humor and realism.
I look forward to reading the next book.
Not exactly the Jessica Fletcher of Boca
This author's first go around with the 'little old lady solves a mystery' was kind of clunky. There are a lot of characters and she spends a lot of time fleshing them out, but the book never really took hold of me. I was intrigued enough to try another in the series, tho.
