Homeland Security Special Agent Eliana Solomon is on a mission to prevent terrorist attacks. Hard enough to do when the threats are human, almost impossible when it's an evil, shape shifting jinni. Eliana needs help so she calls the sexy and beguiling psychiatrist, Arta Shahani. However, no matter how good he is at his job, the man is on her blacklist. On their last case together, the guy left her for dead.
Arta is stunned when he receives Eliana’s call. Forced to abandon the woman he loves, he now fears she won’t accept his shape-shifting skills as a Persian Lion. Eliana, in the meantime discovers she is a direct descendant of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba with special powers of her own. But will her skill and Arta's be enough to defeat the jinni, or will they lose the love history decreed for them as well as their lives in this battle of good versus evil?

This series gets better and better!
Ms. Buchbinder has created a spell-binding history and legend based story. She takes you from the court of King Solomon to the present day and does so without lag or interruption of pace. The transition was seamless from one time period to another. I loved the story of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Ms. Buchbinder has researched the history behind her story-line and includes a section titled "author's notes"; do not skip this section as it has many interesting facts and legends.
Ms. Buchbinder had many threads in this story which she skillfully brought together to form a solid well-written book filled with history, mystery, good versus evil, and romance. The plot was skillfully developed and the pacing never slowed or lagged.
The attraction between Eliana and Arta was in peak form as they circled each other. Eliana finds Arta breathtaking and Arta finds Eliana just as intriguing. Arta has secrets he is not sure Eliana will accept. Eliana and Arts discover family history that neither was aware; Ms. Buchbinder skillfully wove the histories together as past and present meet.
This book does contain one love scene between Arta and Eliana which I felt was tastefully written and was not explicit sex. This is a well-written solid paranormal romance that does not depend on sex to sell the story-line.
Author Sharon Buchbinder created a book which will appeal to anyone who enjoys a solid well-written story. I found the history intriguing and enlightening. I look forward to the next book in this series.
