Why does dating have to be so hard?
It doesn’t! Stop trying to out-game the system and relax. IT'S JUST A F***ING DATE presents the tools, not the rules, for bringing back the art of the date. The ordeals of 21st century dating, from online dating and hooking up to pulling the plug when it isn’t working, will soon be easy to navigate. With tips to define what is and isn’t a date, how to get asked out, and setting your own dating standards, dating won’t seem old-fashioned, it will be fun.
Bestselling authors Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola return to the minefield of modern relationships with this revised and updated edition.

Cute and funny, as expected...but please, hire an editor. Would have been 4 stars if it were not for the staggering number of grammatical errors. :(
This book is delicious.
Do you remember dating? It was a simple ritual: a man shows his interest in a woman and invites her to have a cup of coffee, a drink, a meal, possibly a movie or maybe even, if they're both into that sort of thing, live kabuki theatre. You never knew, but the idea was simple: if men and women get to know each other before they jump in the sack, good things can and frequently did happen. This book remembers that ritual and invites us to re-discover the joys of dating (while accepting that those joys sometimes are tempered by disappointment). As you re-learn the ropes of dating, the co-author of HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU and his co-author on the equally fantastic IT'S CALLED A BREAK-UP BECAUSE IT'S BROKEN drop intelligent, time-tested tips while keeping a smile on your face as you survey the rocky landscape of dating in a post-Snapchat, pre-everyone-gets-the-unitard-because-we're-in-space-like-Star-Trek world. This is everything you'd expect from Behrendt & Ruotola and everything you, or someone you know, needs. Pick it up. Your heart will thank you.
Dating in the technology world of today is hard and it is easy to lose yourself unintentionally. This book is loaded with great advice! You get to thinking about your dating errors of the past and begin to come up with some standards for preventing them in the future. It is also full of positive dialogue that gives you that "hell yea I'm awesome and worth it" attitude.
All you grammar Nazis out there, be warned this book will push you over the edge (I also penalized a star for this even though I am no grammar queen). I had to re-read things due to extra words being left in sentences that should have been removed, there were commas in wrong places (including in the middle of the word ou,t), and misuse of contractions. Take it for what it is, advice for those of us lost in the dating world, however, an editor would have made this a much easier and better read.
