Blast With The Past
This book is a well written tome about the joys of cooking in the 1960's. It harkens back to an era when real people cooked real food, without an attitude. It's the "foodtrack" for the "Mad Men" series. Love this book. A real classic! If James Bond were a home cook, this is what he'd serve up to Moneypenny.
Really good book, single or deux!
I really enjoyed this cookbook by Mr. Kraus, I found his instructions easy to follow and they actually made sense! He has a really neat way of bringing a certain nostalgia into cooking with this book, it reminds me of hiding in the garage while reading Playboys and imagining I was Hugh Hefner! Way too cool! You're not going to become a major chef or have a show on the food channel by reading this, but you'll sure eat well! Enjoy!
A great collection of recipes
This is a delightful cookbook. I’ve tried a few recipes so far and although it is not a huge recipe collection, the recipes appear to be carefully selected and all are very flavorful and easy to create.
The author does a nice job of creating delicious yet simple meals suitable for one person. It’s great that none of the recipes require expensive kitchen gadgets. I have a small kitchen and had no issues making these meals. Finding recipes for free on the Internet is easy but finding a nice collection of excellent recipes makes it worth the small price.
