This book grabbed me from the first page. I completely identified with Lisa's character as a busy mom who doesn't quite have it all together and she feels like the rest of the families around her somehow have it better. The story was engrossing and the many twists had me reading late into the nit.
I love this book!!!
Paula Daly writes of my weakness, my frailties, my search for perfection, and then shows me that I share this humanity with some very special, and at the same time, average characters. I love these people ... and believe the monsters, most of whom have their own rationale, however twisted. Some, of course, have no humanity, but this book is like life, and most of it's sweet. And most of all for Bluey ... (Spoiler Alert!) Thank you for giving him a happy ending!
Just what kind of mother are you?
I absolutely adored this story. It was riveting from the first page to the last. The characters were rich & believable. One of those books that you just can't put down. This was my first reading by this author. I can unequivocally tell you it will not be my last. Guess I need to see what she is offering for my next read!
