This Christmas, murder doesn't take a holiday.
Madison Knight should have ignored the call. Now she is spending Christmas Eve dealing with her least favorite thing...blood and lots of it.
When a female victim is found in her home it has Madison and her partner tapping into the vic's personal life. With a rash of former business partners and lovers, all of whom wanted her dead, there are not enough hours to question them all.
But trying to find the person who had the most motive isn't all that's on Madison's mind. As she struggles to establish balance in her own life, she knows she has to get her focus back. Justice requires it.

POLICE PROCEDURALS RESPECTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT.TM
“Carolyn Arnold provides entertainment and accuracy.”
Michael D. Scott, Patrolman (Ret.)
“For Police procedurals that are painstakingly researched and accurately portrayed look no further than Carolyn Arnolds works. The only way it gets more real than this is to leave the genre completely.”
Zach Fortier, Police Officer (Ret.)
Colorado, United States
“Usually it’s hard for me to read cop books without picking them apart, but I read the entire Madison Knight series and I loved them all! The way Carolyn wrote Madison describes me and the way I work and even my personal life to a t.”
Deputy Rebecca Hendrix, LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department
While I enjoyed the book I dislike the main character. Thus far I cannot find a single redeeming quality that she possesses. She is rude, arrogant, argumentative, demanding and easy to hate. Why would an author invent such a disdainful person?
Twists and turns
This second book continues with Madison Knight's strong personality and drive to solve a murder. She expects the same from her partner. This drive to only work and the way she treats her co-workers doesn't endure her to me as a reader. I also felt sorry for Hershey. I understand why Terry did that, but she neglected him every day. It made me feel sorry for Hershey. As a detective Madison is good at her job.
This author is one I enjoy reading very much.
With each book I purchase. Keep the books coming.
