This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
A hurricane is bearing down on the Florida coast. At one of Palm Beach’s most prestigious hotels a guest dies. Was it an accident or murder?
Trapped by the storm, Miami Jones and his nemesis from the local police department must match wits in a search for the truth, before the rising water or something worse consumes them all.
King Tide the latest
If you do not like a book that keeps you in knots and tensed up trying to figure out what the author is going to spring on you, then by all means I am telling you not to waste your money on this book!
But, if you are like me and want all of those things in a book then not only do you need to read this book by A.J. Stewart!
As for me, I download every book of his! I love the excitement! At 78, it is the only excitement I get. I try to start his book at about 9-10 AM as I read non-stop until around 12-1:00AM when I can't see the letters! Pickup the next morning around 10 until I finish.
I don't recommend that for everyone else. It. Is just the way I enjoy reading a good book (oh I am also OCD when I find grammar errors or punctuation errors and I found NONE of those)!
I started reading this series on a whim. I think Jimmy Buffett said it best "The first one is free". That's how I got hooked. The writing has matured since that first one. The stories grab you and you can't wait to read the next page. Thought I had it all figured out about all way through, and guess what. I was only half right. Give this guy a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Get back to work Stewart.
I found Mr Stewart's first book in a collection of works titled Amusingly Death Lies & Duct Tape. I might add therein lie several other good authors waiting to be read but this is about Stewart's King Tide. Think Travis McGee meets Archibald McNally, yet surprisingly without a Scottish accent. His character is prone to introspection, has a keen sense of wit, a decent moral compass and is dating way over his head. The books all take place in south Florida so Floridians will enjoy familiar haunts. This one takes place during a hurricane which most of us have spent time hunkered down in. The action is realistic, the dialog fun. The reading is quick. I found his first book two weeks ago and just finished his latest. So I say again Mr Stewart, get back to work! And to all his fans and potential fans, pick up the first one first and don't stop till you get through them all.
