What if your competition for your dream job...was your dream man?
All Lucy Pickett needs to become executive chef in one of Dallas’s finest restaurants is to pull off the high-profile wedding she’s catering. So what if she’s forced to share duties with Dylan Lawson, a modern-day chuck-wagon cook? So what if he’s got rugged looks and cowboy charm? None of that is going to knock her off her game. Until she learns the restaurateur is considering Dylan for the position she wants. Game on--and it’s a winner-take-all event!
Dylan Lawson finally has the opportunity he’s been waiting for to prove he can do more than just be a ranch hand. The only thing standing in his way is the fiery chef fighting for the same position. Will the heated competition scorch any chance they have for love?
Be true to yourself
Wonderful story about two people who finally learn what is important and not do things because others expect it. Lucy and Dylan are two characters that are very easy to relate to. Sometimes it was hard to decide whom to root for, but in the end it doesn't matter. Even with all the family drama, Lucy and Dylan manage to have their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed this story about Dylan and Lucy who have known each other (and loved each other) for years. This is a great story about doing things in life that make you happy, not everyone else around you. Lucy was always trying to please her mother and her step-father. But even when she idd great things, it wasn’t enough. Dylan is finally able to convince her to do something for her.
Dylan is trying to help his dad pay off medical bills. When he is offered a job that will cause problems and heartache with Lucy, he has to make a decision about what is most important in his life. I loved the way the story ended.
