Flat_Black ,

Great book to interest those youngsters.

I'm a guy with a 5 1/2 year old daughter and I'm trying to get her interested in the world outside of pink and Disney. I'm also trying to get her hooked on reading and although she can not yet read she loves this book. She makes up the story herself and engages her imagination without ever having to read a word. Much better then those read it to me iPad books. There are no formal names so she can name the characters what she wants and she absolutely loves looking at the art. She asks lots of questions and the main character is a strong female role model. The best money I've spent in recent times. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get there kids into "reading" before they can read.

The illustrations are charming but this book needs a written story to go along with it!
