What child wouldn’t want to go on the adventure of a lifetime with a great pup like Kristi Kay and join her on a multimedia journey that is both fun and educational? Photography, animation, video, audio, and opportunities for interaction help create an engaging setting to experience the Grand Canyon. Amazing stories told by Kristi Kay’s canyon guides keep children wondering what surprising new secrets will be revealed next. What happened to the people that lived in the canyon? Will the condors in the rescue program survive? Whether as a read after last summer’s trip, or simply as a book for a nature lover, page after page, this photographic journey is a perfect way for children to experience the wonders of this spectacular national park.
At the end of the book, Kristi Kay Talks with the Ranger question and answer section provides additional information for children who would like to further explore the Grand Canyon. This interactive ebook is especially appropriate for 7-11 year olds and as a read aloud for younger children, and it would also be well suited for an educational setting. Divided into 12 chapters, the book lends itself to be read in several sessions at the age appropriate pace.

Beautiful Book, Amazing Photography, Cute Puppy, Educational
What more could you ask for? As a native Arizonan teaching my kids about the rich culture of our state is important. Our state has been influenced by so many different cultures and each has left a unique mark. This book focuses on the Grand Canyon and shares the amazing adventures of this little pup. My youngest daughter (5) loved it for the puppy of course. My son (11) loved it for the Native American history. My oldest daughter (14) loved the photography.
A Great Addition
A must have experience for young people. With its a cute, intelligent looking dog, and a bird that looks like it was conceived by Dr. Seuss, it puts us into an animal society - so beautifully conceived in its civility, generosity, and interest and care for the world - that it is reminescent of books like Winnie the Pooh. These elements, set in the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, beautifully brought out by magnificent photographs and videos, make it a compelling book from both parent's and teacher's points of view.
I feel that it, and others like it, will become a basic part of the newly possible learning experience for young people. In the end it is much more than a tour guide. I wish there were more such stories available.
Heart-warming, fun, beautiful
Wow, what a heart-warming, fun, and beautiful iBook. Like the entertaining story, clear organization, and easy navigation. The photos are scenic with depth and vibrant color. In one of the videos, a flight above part of the Grand Canyon makes me feel like a bird soaring over it. Pleasantly surprised by the extensive education section. Satisfying interactive experience in it with optional, additional movies, photos, maps, charts, etc. all a click away. Excellent overall.
