"Never again attempt to develop this kind of technology."
It is with these words that an unknown alien attacker destroys the Earth cities of Tehran, Sydney and Beijing. Fifty million people die... and nothing is ever the same again.
Some call them Demons, some call them Aliens, but to Chinese Naval Captain Melissa Liao they are the enemy. She is given command of one of three great warships built to fight the "demons", the TFR Beijing.
Her task is simple. Find who attacked Earth and why... then stop them.

Excellent gripping story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Very well-written although it could do without all the underscoring, which was quite distracting. This reader was able to know the stressed words without the need of underscores. Other than that, well done.
Decent writer, l am re writing my review the storyline was good and the technology believable. Could a woman punch a man in the face, knock him down twice, and destroy his career verbally and not get any retaliation over and above some whining about how she didn't listen to him? I think not unless he was like the biggest sissy boy on the planner. Even Rhonda Rousey would be hard pressed to do that to an average guy. The great multitude of role swapping was incredibly lame next time dude write it straight up you might even have a best seller in there somewhere.
I never thought the heroine would turn out tobe a heroine. She started out as a worrier and a fretter but developed & grew into a worthy character of bravery and decisiveness. The book is certainly suspenseful. It rewards the reader with awful realization of what could be.
