Mahalo's Learn Rhythm Guitar is an all-encompassing strumming catalog that touches on the many styles and patterns popular in the guitar world. Volume 1 is designed for various skill levels and styles. It teaches the basic breakdown of rhythm and valuable rhythm techniques.
In addition to the lessons, our talented host, Jen Trani, provides one-on-one practice tutorials, beginning at slower tempos for beginners and working her way up to medium and fast speeds for players who are comfortable with the patterns and want to challenge themselves.
I am shredding now…
I got the first book "Learn Guitar" and was happy with all the info I learned from Jenn. It filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge. I got this second one to see what else I could learn and was not disappointed. This whole series is great for someone who loves guitar and their ipad. I just grab some headphones and go outside to learn. I like this more advanced lessons and all the styles she has featured. I can't wait for more!
Jen Trani is a rock goddess, and learning from her is incredibly easy. I'd love to see her featured in more books.
Another great one from Jen and Mahalo!
I have loved the other Learn Guitar apps and books that Mahalo has come out with and this one is no different. I thought one of the best features is that Jen takes things nice and slowly; and while some of it may seem repetitive, or as she says, you may feel you are above it; it truly does give you the groundwork you need to do well with it. It is so true and often that people feel like they can learn something quick and not require much practice and time to get it down. The way that Jen goes through each tutorial, you are able to get the repetitiveness that you need to do well, but also feel like you end up learning something you didn't think you could in a relatively short amount of time. I was very happy with this book and would recommend it to anybody that is looking to expand their knowledge of guitar playing and music in general.
