Leave The Night On
Book 4, Cottonbloom - A Cottonbloom Novel
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Love, betrayal, and sweet revenge—life in Cottonbloom is about to get a whole lot hotter . . .
Sutton Mize is known for lavishing attention on the customers who flock to her boutique on the wealthy side of her Mississippi town. So when she finds a lace thong in her fiancé’s classic cherry-red Camaro, she knows just who she sold it to: her own best friend. In an instant, Sutton’s whole world goes up in flames. . .
Wyatt Abbott has harbored a crush on Sutton since he was a young kid from the other side of the tracks. He witnessed Sutton’s shocking discovery in the Camaro at his family-owned garage—and it made him angry. What kind of man could take lovely, gorgeous Sutton for granted? But then Sutton comes up with an idea: Why not give her betrothed a taste of his own medicine and pretend that she’s got a lover of her own? Wyatt is more than happy to play the hot-and-heavy boyfriend. But what begins as a fictional affair soon develops into something more real, and more passionate, than either Sutton or Wyatt could have imagined. Could it be that true love has been waiting under the hood all along?
Easy, enjoyable and entertaining
Hometown romance with sweet cars and heart.
Sutton takes her fiancé’s car to Wyatt’s family’s garage for restoration. When Wyatt is helping her clean it out for drop off, Sutton discovers evidence that her fiancé is having an affair with another woman and her best friend.
Wyatt has always had a thing for Sutton so when Sutton, trying to save face, tells everyone she’s with Wyatt, Wyatt agrees to help her back up her story by playing her boyfriend.
I found Leave the Night On interesting and cute but had a very predicable plot. Well mostly predicable, I truly cannot fathom Sutton’s ability for forgiveness. I think that is flip flop is what was the final straw in my going from really liking to a 3.5 for me. Okay, I can even go with forgiveness but not engaging in friendship again, it just didn’t work for me.
Easy, enjoyable and entertaining, Leave the Night On is a feel good, sweet read with little to no humor or subterfuge.
I received this ARC copy of Leave the Night from St. Martin's Press. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I adore the quaint little town of Cottonbloom that Laura Trentham created and I'm so glad to be returning in this amazing new story. The town may have always been split not only by state lines and the river but also by social status. Times are changing though and sometimes the heart wants what it wants. Sutton Mize may not have spent a lot of time on the Mississippi side of Cottonbloom but after her personal quickly implodes, she can't seem to stay away from Wyatt Abbott. There's just something about the kind and funny auto mechanic that pulls at her heart but what would her friends and family think?? She's about to find out~
A fantastic small town romance that I recommend to everyone!
Sweet, Southern Charm & Passion!
This was the first story I have read by Laura Trentham and I cannot wait to read so many more. This was such a charming, sweet and sexy story. That captured my attention from the first page till the end. I loved Wyatt and Sutton. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them connect and learning about their histories.
Wyatt is handsome, but even more potent than his looks was his intangible confidence and ease with himself. He is sweet, kind, caring, charismatic and such a southern gentlemen when it comes to Sutton. He has been smitten on the sweet, shy, Sutton that had a spark of spirit in her, that he met years ago when her daddy, Judge Mize brought her to their garage.
When Sutton is humiliated, by finding her best friend lingerie in her fiance' car at the Abbott Brothers Garage, she asks Wyatt to help her save face by letting her fiancé think that she has been seeing Wyatt behind his back. But as Wyatt and Sutton soon realize the chemistry between them is sizzling hot!
I loved their flirting and the build of heat they had between them. Wyatt made her feel beautiful and sexy with his naturally sensuous nature and he offered Sutton pure physical pleasure with a sprinkling of hope and laughter. Swoon worthy romance with all the feels. Revenge has never tasted so sweet! Fantastic, Heartwarming, Southern Charm!I Loved this story! Get yours now!
