Al Franken, one of our “savviest satirists” (People), has been studying the rhetoric of the Right. He has listened to their cries of “slander,” “bias,” and even “treason.” He has examined the Bush administration’s policies of squandering our surplus, ravaging the environment, and alienating the rest of the world. He’s even watched Fox News. A lot.

And, in this fair and balanced report, Al bravely and candidly exposes them all for what they are: liars. Lying, lying liars. Al destroys the liberal media bias myth by doing what his targets seem incapable of: getting his facts straight. Using the Right’s own words against them, he takes on the pundits, the politicians, and the issues, in the most talked about book of the year.

Timely, provocative, unfailingly honest, and always funny, Lies sticks it to the most right-wing administration in memory, and to the right-wing media hacks who do its bidding.

Liars are always liars

Great book, a fun and hilarious read. My only issue is that the man who has no problem saying that the Bush Administration lied about literally everything, believes they told the absolute whole truth about what happened on 9/11. I find that line of thinking illogical. If they lied about everything else, Al, chances are good that the lied about that too. Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Rove and Rice didn't magically turn into truth-tellers for one day and then right back into liars the next. Let's have some critical thinking on the issue in your next book, please.

Lolololol

You can write reviews without reading the book. Isn't that something?

You can also write a review, misspell your name and look like an idiot

I read the book many times. I loved it. I can never look at Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, etc. The same again. Interesting, funny and informative all at the same time. One of my favorite books.
