Interesting content
Although the writing is OK only, the subject matter is fascinating. Although I have read innumerable histories of the Roman times, I think this unusual treatment lays out clearly details that are usually only found in historical novels, most of which I find tedious and clumsy.

A good read! Wish I’d read it before my last trip to Rome.
