Very emotional!!!
I read A LOT and I don't think I've ever read a book where the main character has ADHD and dyslexia. I can only imagine what a difficult time Christina Bell had growing up. Her mother was there in the beginning but after she died, Christina had to deal with the fact that no one knew how to help her quite like her mother did. It's no wonder her life has been such a struggle. Thank God for Guy, her best friend.
This short story packs such a punch! The ups and downs are extremely emotional. As the mystery has been solved, the end result is surprising. Guy knows what the Bell family wants and does some things that Chris does not approve of to get it. I feel terrible for Chris and Guy. In the end, no one's quite sure how Chris is going to take it. Will she throw away her friendship with Guy or will she finally realize what everyone else already knows?
Bravo Shiloh Walker!!! This last novella in a trio of novellas in the Secrets & Shadows series have been nothing short of brilliant. Short stories that are so complete, you almost forget how short they are. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.
