We all have one.
That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.
Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.
What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.
What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.
I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.
*Warning: 18+ only. Book 1 in a duet. Catch the conclusion in FOUND UNDERNEATH, due May 2017.
***Light my panties on fire***
Fist off I'm cutting right to the sex. It's scorching HOT... sizzling up the pages...
talk about a dirty talking light my fire inside make me wet kind of alpha!!!! WOW!
Absolutely love this book. Shaw is an alpha through and through. Sexy and demanding and always gets what he wants. I'll take a turn with him.
He will Rock you to the core.
I adored Willow, her strength is astounding, she's beautiful inside and out. And a little minx in the bedroom.
She's a fantastic character and her sex scenes are out of this world.
I loved everything about this story from the characters to the writing and great flow. It definitely wouldn't hurt to get Noah's story.
Thanks for a great read. I look forward to more from this Author.
If you want a book that gives you all the feels, this is it!
I really enjoyed this book! It made me laugh, tear up, fan myself, and cuss a little. Ok, maybe a lot. I cussed KL out, in my head. This book also had some mystery thrown in there, and I loved it. Shaw and Willow pulled me in and had me wanting more. I understand the need for two books, I just didn't like it.
Shaw, well I could on for days. Read the book and you'll understand why I'm saying that. He's hard, but soft. He's so much amazingness (yes, it's a word) in one man!
Willow, I just wanted to hug her. She broke my heart more than once. She's been through so much and continues to push on. She does what she has to, to survive. She's a firecracker, but so easily cracked.
I loved these two characters, so much. When the past came back, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. Or punch someone.
I can't wait for book two, because I have to know how things end up!!!
Pick this book up, you won't regret it!
*I was given an advanced reader's copy of this book for an honest review.
Can't wait to see how this pans out!
This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I will definitely be checking out the second book in this duet, as well as her other books.
This is the story of a billionaire businessman and a beautiful woman that he hires as his girlfriend for four months leading up to his father’s re-election to Mayor of Seattle.
Willow is a young woman with a widowed mother with Alzheimer’s that requires constant care. This leaves Willow with a huge expense of keeping up her childhood home, as well as a caregiver for her mother when Willow can’t be there. Willow also has her own apartment that she must pay for. Her job as an audio-book voice doesn’t cover all of her expenses, so she is an escort for a high-end service. Willow does not have sex with her clients. She is only a companion and arm candy. She hates that she has to do this, but she has to pay her bills.
The story has a Fifty Shades feel about it, as Shaw is commanding in the boardroom and the bedroom. Shaw is a womanizer and has no intentions of settling down with a girlfriend or wife. He and his best friend, Noah, are often out about town trolling for their catch of the evening, either to share or to keep for themselves.
Shaw’s father asked him to do him the favor of finding a fake girlfriend to cut down on the rumor mill. As the election draws near, the news of Seattle’s playboy in a committed relationship would draw attention to himself for the press rather than his troubled sister or his gender fluid brother. Shaw offers Willow a contract of $250,000 for four months, where Willow will be his fake girlfriend and at his beck and call. This is a business contract only, there is no room for feelings even though they must play the part that they are in love. Willow is the ultimate actress, as she plays the part of the interested companion on her escort job.
There are secrets. There is suspense. There are some twists and turns throughout the story. The characters are developed and there are some interesting secondary characters that I can’t wait to find out how things pan out.
I enjoyed the story, however, it seemed a little long and drawn out. I look forward to the second book in this duet to see how things work out for Shaw and Willow.
