Lost to Rapture

Leaves you wanting more of the characters!

The books in the Countermeasure series keep getting better and better. We are really getting to know the characters on a deeper level which is so incredibly awesome. Lost to Rapture by Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey is the 6th Countermeasure: Bytes of Life short story. It centers around the one year anniversary of Trevor and Cassandra and oh boy is it lovely. And so sweet, sensual and emotional. Trevor and Cassie are such a phenomenal love story.

In Lost to Rapture, Trevor is trying to figure out the best place to take Cassie for their one year anniversary. It quickly dawns on him that taking her back to his hometown of Sligo is the perfect place. As you can imagine, emotions are high since it is the first time Trevor has been back since his parents have disappeared. How will he handle it? Well, with Cassie by his side, you know he will have a great support.

The true love that Trevor and Cassandra share is really demonstrated in Lost to Rapture. The patience and understanding they have for one another, their playfulness as well as their continual passion for each other are all evident in this story. I love watching Cassie give up more control the longer she is with Trevor. She trusts him with her heart and therefore the decisions he makes. I am not sure two people can love each other more. It really is lovely to witness.

While Ecstasy by the Sea, Cuffed at Midnight and Passion at Dawn, three other shorts in the Bytes of Life series show the hot and wild side of Trevor and Cassie as the newlywed couple who can’t seem to keep their hands off one another, Lost to Rapture shows more of a deeper emotional connection between the two. Their intimacy is just as exciting and sensual but at a different level in my opinion. Bottom line, if you have read the other books in the Countermeasure series and adore watching Trevor and Cassandra, you really need to read the heartwarming story that is Lost to Rapture.
