-- A USA TODAY Bestseller --
Cactus Creek's most romantic eligible bachelor, new-to-town and new-to-singlehood chocolatier Luke Bradford believes in old school romance, fighting wars waged over love, and deploying his dimples whenever an impossible-to-resist woman instigates it. But for once, this serial monogamist is trying not to platter up his heart to get stomped on for a change. That’s the plan, at least. Until he locks horns with the feisty beer-brewing beauty next door, that is. Soon, driving the woman sparking nuts becomes a wickedly fun priority he simply can’t get enough of.
In his defense, she’s addictively easy to incite…and plain impossible to resist.
Cactus Creek's award-winning brewmaster and town sweetheart Dani Dobson can’t believe how good her maddeningly distracting new neighbor is at pushing her buttons. It’s bad enough the unjustly gorgeous man comes locked and loaded with sexy flashing dimples and charm for days. But using all his chocolate-covered romantic idealism—not unlike the kind her heart’s been shattered by before—to start a chocolate vs. beer feud right in her backyard? The nerve of that man. Inexplicable, downright combustible chemistry between them or not, damn it, this means war.
At stake? Very likely, her heart.
IMPORTANT AUTHOR NOTE
This is hands-down the most over-the-top of all my books (past, present, and future) in the sweet and mushy romantic department. A book about a brewmaster and chocolatier battling over Valentine's Day supremacy? Yeah, it was a given I was going to go all-out on the feel-good romance for this one. So be forewarned, this is *way* sweeter than all my other books (probably combined). If you're in the mood for a small town romance with lots of smiles and two stubbornly romantic characters who work hard for their happily ever after, this is the book for you! xoxo

Keep you wondering!
What a great book! Violet Duke out did herself this time! So many emotions! I laughed so hard at times I had tears rolling and then there were tears of sadness too but it was all worth it!! So many twists and turns I was really having a hard time trying to figure out how it was going to end. Luke and Dani will worm their way into your heart fast! It was actually nice to read a book that wasn't the same old plot like so many. Great job Violet!!
Chocolate + Beer = Love
Oh my good golly gracious, where do I begin? Love, Chocolate, and Beer was so amazing!! With a great background setup courtesy of the prequel (A Little Combustible Chemistry) we get to follow Dani and Luke while they battle it out
in their romance throwdown.
With Luke and his chocolate shop, obtaining votes isn't a hard task at all. A true romantic, Luke sets out not only to convince folks that chocolate is better than beer but also to find his way into the heart of his rival.
Dani can't believe anyone would try to sell chocolate as more romantic than beer. While she may believe Luke's views of romance are ludicrous and out of reach, she has a knack for creating romance for those around her.
With twists and turns,...ups and downs,...crying and laughter we witness Luke and Dani's story unfold and grow into unconditional love that will last a lifetime.
I laughed so much and cried my eyes out while reading this novel from Violet Duke. And I look forward to more fun and romance in the Cactus Creek series! :)
This book inspired me to concoct my own romantic plan for my husband this Valentine's! I definitely have plenty of ideas now.
As always, Violet does an amazing job of fully developing her characters and forcing you to fall in love with them. Oh, and you might learn a thing or two about how to make beer and chocolate. :)
