I've read this series skipping all but one or two sentences in each paragraph. I'm hoping with the money the author will get writing lessons. Worst writing I've ever endured. I even skipped a couple of the books hoping someone would edit the crap out of them. All of these books could have been cut down to two maybe three books. Making the series two possibly three books long. The people in this town won't live through another book most likely with the coffee they drink CONSTANTLY and the pie they consume. Corny, ridiculous, and childlike...will definitely steer clear of Geri Foster....

My perception

Okay series of book. The women in this book were portrayed historically pretty well.
And the mysteries to the books were okay.
But the main characters it felt like they were the men and not the women. So very sappy when it came to the thoughts of the characters.
Should have been more of the women and their thoughts not how the men were such big hereo's. Which from what I've read and been told by my family who lived this era. Men and law enforcement turned their backs to the treatment of women. They were the property of their husbands. not until the mid 1970's were the police forced to take spousal abuse seriously.
If I read another series of books written by you hope it's better written.
