This book looks at relationship OCD (rOCD) and at my recovery journey through rOCD. Relationship OCD is a poorly known condition and affects many relationships. Many good relationships end because of rOCD. If you constantly question if your relationship or partner is the right one and this affects your thinking and feeling you might suffer from rOCD. In this book, I talk what rOCD is, what love is in the context of rOCD and what we can do to get better.
I wanted to take a brief moment to say thank you for getting this out there!
I have been in my relationship for 9 years, and after a particularly stressful and anxious year, my brain finally snapped and I started having intrusive thoughts about my relationship. I came to realize that this was rOCD, after a lot of research and trying to filter out the garbage on the Internet from what could actually be a possibility. When I stumbled on the term rOCD everything just...clicked...all the signs and symptoms, even friends and my partner agreed!
There were some editing flaws in the book, but overall I found it to be very helpful and insightful and it is a quick read that I plan on going back to.
Depression and anxiety can lead to a lot of issues and unwanted thoughts and can make them seem very real. I hope that more people will come to realize that relationship OCD is a very real thing and should be treated in accordance with other forms of OCD.
THANK YOU again for publishing this!
