On the run from the law ... and falling in love.
Lilah Canton never expected to see her childhood neighbor Ash Thompson behind bars. Even more, she never expected to care. Ash needled her all through their childhood.
But discovering him in the Barden Falls jail stuns her. He's accused of murdering the son of Abner Barden, the most powerful man in town, and they both know he won't live to see a trial. Lilah's the only one who can help him. Against her better judgment, she aids Ash’s escape.
Now they're on the run from the law, and a bounty hunter they can't shake. Ash says they'll be safe in the Colorado Territory, but first, they have to survive the harrowing cross-country journey.
And Lilah has to decide how safe her heart is from Ash.
Loving Lilah is a face-paced historical western romance filled with love, adventure and a dash of spice.
Perfectually Sweet, Passionate and Adventurous Historical Western Romance!!!
I received an ARC eBook in exchange for an honest review. This is the third book I have read by AnnMarie Oakes and the second in The Ladies of Cascade Creek series. Lilah and Ash's story is adventurous, passionate, sweet and touching Historical Western Romance. A quick fun read without vulgar profanity or overly explicit sex scenes. A true delight! I look forward to reading "Romancing Riley" the next book to be released in this wonderful series!!
An amazing western romance that allows you feel like you're there looking in. You feel it all, the suspense, drama, the heat of the days traveling to outrun the law or bounty hunters, even the hunger and thirst as days go by... You feel the passion building between Lilah and Ash as they indulge in their feelings or exploring what feelings they have towards one another. A must read on a lonely night by a fire...
