An Excellent Edition of this Shakespearian Classic
I am a former English teacher and current home-schooling mom who loves the idea of these iBooks! This edition of Macbeth, in particular, is excellent—a topnotch production that is both educational and entertaining, with numerous audio & video supplements and an interactive "Check Your Understanding" section after every act. Highly recommended.
Get educated! Understand Shakespeare---again.
I thought I was well aware of Shakespeare's classic, "Macbeth," until I purchased this Providence e-book. The combination of the text (read aloud) with the subsequent explanation by William Lassiter, was educational for my boys, ages 15 and 16, but also for me-- a veteran homeschooling mother of 22 years! This was so beneficial to all of us because it promotes learning on several levels. Highly recommended for homeschooling families and those who think they remember all the details, but may have forgotten a few crucial elements over the years!
Entertaining and educational
When I got this textbook, I got much more than I expected. William Lasseter, the professor that does the video enhanced lectures also narrates the story. Because of the audio narrations, I experienced this story in the "theater of the mind." It was very entertaining and engaged me in a way I did not expect. The production values are top notch.
The iBook format is such a great way to present literature. This is a boon for homeschooled students as the presentation here helps with interpretation in a way that many homeschool curriculum study guides cannot.
This is the best way to experience "The Scottish Play."
