“Wilder pulls out all the stops for this spellbinding novel of identity, passion, and fear... Once readers fall into X’s story, they’ll be desperate for the next installments.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

From the New York Times bestselling author of Alpha...

My name is Madame X.
My past is locked away.
My present confined to a gilded cage...

Hired to transform the uncultured, inept sons of the wealthy and powerful into decisive, confident men, Madame X wields culture and wit like a knife. But behind her sophisticated facade X is a woman adrift, trapped between a dangerous past she can’t remember and the protection of a seductive man who claims her body—and her soul.
Undone time and again by his exquisite dominance, X craves and fears his desire in equal measure. And while she longs for the safety of her tower penthouse, she also yearns to escape. But X has never known anything or anyone else—until he came along…

From the Trade Paperback edition.

From Publishers Weekly

Aug 31, 2015 – Wilder (Alpha) pulls out all the stops for this spellbinding novel of identity, passion, and fear. Madame X, the star employee of Indigo Services LLC, never leaves her Manhattan condo; clients come to her. Her job is to imbue young, entitled scions with the refinement and style they will one day need in order to command the reins of their fathers' international businesses. Multibillionaire Caleb Indigo has kept X as a slave for the six years since he found her bleeding from near-fatal injuries that also destroyed her memories. Though Caleb promises to keep her safe from her would-be killer, his dominance of X frequently crosses the line into assault. She bravely identifies Caleb's abuse and her own Stockholm syndrome, hungering for "a breath taken in privacy, a word spoken without ulterior motive," but when charming entrepreneur Logan Ryder offers her a chance at a normal life, she has no idea how or whether to accept. The intense, violent, erotic story is told in the first-person voice of X herself, with impressively well-handled second-person passages directed at her often odious clients ("You quiver. You want to bluff, you want to bluster"). This narrative device smoothly guides the reader between X's internal monologue and her professional facade, never feeling contrived. Once readers fall into X's story, they'll be desperate for the next installments.

Review: Madame X #1: Madame X

This was a story that I absolutely D E V O U R E D! In a matter of a few short hours I was done. An erotic romance with a twist, it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but not one that is going to leave me lying awake at night, biting my nails, and wondering what happens.

Madame X is a personality trainer of sorts. Her clients are usually entitled young men, rich with family money, and poor in charm and class. She takes these "boys" and shows them how to behave as men. She is great at what she does but something is missing.

Her "Master" is an enigma to her. The balance she has between controlling her clients and being controlled by Him is masterful. In an effort to keep this spoiler-free I'm leaving this review short, hopefully sweet, and to the point --> which is... Well Done Jasinda! I have always enjoyed your books but this is on a whole different level. Even the writing style and use of narrative perspective was part of the story being told.

Madame X

Could not put this book down. The mystery keeps unfolding yet increasing right to the end. I'm intrigued by the characters and how they developed in their relationship to each other. Also, I love Jacinda's writing style - capturing the emotions of a held breath, a second that lasts forever against time. Now I'm anxious to spend another sleepless night reading the next one in the series.

Madame X

I fought reading this creation from the moment I read the sample. The trailer did not give me a feel for the story that lied within. Now I am chomping at the bit for the sequel "Exposed." Plus I didn't think anyone could supersede my favorite alpha Valentine Roth but I think that Logan Ryder could be a contender. Until next time...
