imagining that his gravest danger could come in the form of a
beautiful stowaway who secretly plots his destruction. For also
onboard is sensuous Irishwoman Deirdre O' Devir . . . determined to
avenge her brother's forced enlistment into the Royal Navy, and now,
as near as a whisper to the blackguard responsible. But the best laid
plans go awry, and when Deirdre realizes that behind Christian's
haughty, aloof façade beats a tender heart, she finds herself falling
in love with her handsome enemy in this emotional and unforgettable
tale of love and passion by the bestselling author of the critically
acclaimed de Montforte Brothers series.
Good story in an historical setting of revolutionary America
A wonderful adventure centering on historical events of England forcing Irish men into their navy and the events that changes the lives of them and the families affected. It was fun reading about life on board frigates of war, sea battles, and some insurrection. Life took on a different perspective when 2 women were smuggled on board, one an innocent that was looking for her brother that was forced 13 years before and the other a harlot that wanted to return home to Boston after losing her husband in France. The story continues when they reach Boston during the birth of the American revolution and includes British attempts to quell the rebels, find an Irish pirate, and the minutemen fighting for their independence. The story centers around the love and passion of the sea captain and the Irish girl looking for her brother who was the Irish pirate.
