Red hot shoulders. Red hot abs.
Red hot smolder as he takes to the catwalk at the firefighter’s charity auction. And don’t even get started on the view from the back...
Fact: Jake Hansen is five alarm hot. He’s the last of the red hot firefighters and the only man who ever owned Naomi Whitehouse’s heart.
But that was a long time ago, back when they weren’t much more than kids.
It’s been years since they’ve even been friends. Naomi never imagines that Jake is as hot for her as she is for him, or that a steamy second chance at love is just around the corner.
Soon Jake and Naomi learn that some fires never burn out, but will the heat between them be enough to burn away the mistakes of the past? Or is their second chance doomed to go up in flames?
A sexy standalone firefighter romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Jessie Evans.

Another enjoyable series!
Read the Always a Bridesmaids series and really enjoyed it. Started this series today and finished the first book quickly. Immediately went and bought the other books in the series and am about to dig in to them. Engaging characters, heart tugging story lines and feel good happily ever afters...you'll come to really like the characters and get invested in their outcomes!!
Thank You, Jessie Evans, For Making Me Want To Live In Summerville, GA
I am a real fan of Jessie Evans. Having loved her 'Always A Bridesmaid' books, I was super-excited to read 'Melt With You' the first installment in her new 'Fire and Icing' series. Summerville, GA, is once again the setting for this story (I really like that there is character crossover between series), and Jessie does an excellent job of painting small-town life in such a way that you would gladly take up residence there. As well, the characters are always so easy to relate to, the kind of people that you can readily see yourself wishing you were related to, being friends with, and falling in love with. I found myself smiling during interactions between all of the characters, romantic or not, and just love that everyone has so much heart.
Jake Hansen has never gotten over the fact that Naomi Whitehouse, his high school sweetheart, and the real love of his life, picked up and moved on during the summer after high school ended. She's gone on to fame and fortune as a celebrity chef, and he moved on, too. When Naomi decides to move back home to Summerville in order to slow down, enjoy life around her family and friends, and start a family of her own, Jake doesn't want to have anything to do with her. Naomi is determined to mend fences and move forward as friends, so that her new life doesn't include any old grudges.
There are secrets to be revealed, hearts to be fixed, and love to be won. Jessie manages to make it all work so well, and leave you anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Whether you're an old fan of Jessie Evans, or new to her books, read 'Melt With You.' You won't be sorry!
I love second chances in love! In Melt with You, Naomi and Jake have just that, when they stumble back into each others lives after 15 years. Naomi, the world renounced Chef, returns to her hometown to start a business with her sisters. She is ready to return to her roots and the quieter life she once had after being dumped by her playboy boyfriend and losing the baby she had with him. Upon returning, she knows that she can't avoid her first love Jake, and ready to make amends for breaking his heart. Jake, the hot fireman and widower, wants nothing to do with Naomi, especially forgive her for leaving him. How can Naomi get through to him? Lucky for Naomi, Jake takes part in the Fireman Auction to raise money for the firehouse, and she is the lucky high bidder. Within the month of dates, Jake and Naomi rediscover their love for one another. It wasn't easy, but their past experiences, loses and life lessons made what they share now so much stronger. Can what they have last this time around? Will Jake and Naomi have their happily ever after?
Jessie Evans did an amazing job with these characters. I felt their pain, resentment, passion, lust and overall acceptance for one another throughout the book. Ahh... there is nothing like second chances in love.
