Messiology
This is my first read of a book by George Verwer. To be honest I’ve never heard of him before. I really enjoyed the stories, advice, and honest talk.
I like his attitude that you can really learn from anyone. The Christian ranks can be as segregated as anything. It is a true and fresh prospective that a person can have respect and honor for someone that has similar core beliefs but might have some different views.
I’ve always said Heaven isn’t segregated so we need to learn to respect each other and even learn from others strengths. We are all different parts of one body.
You see a parts of this in the term Messiology. He also is extremely practical with wisdom and advice. George gives many words of wisdom on faith, family, and ministry. He also shares many books that have helped shape who he is as a person and a missionary.
He encourages us to “Go”. Not only to the lost and broken near us but regain a fire for the lost and broken of the world. They need us and guess what? We need them.
