Misadventures with a Manny

Vera Woods is at her wit’s end.
Her husband has run off with the nanny, leaving Vera with a broken heart, three very angry sons, and even less time to juggle the demands of family and her career. After her boys scare away a sixth replacement nanny, Vera is out of time off from work and desperately out of options. Still nursing an aching heart, she turns to an unlikely source for help—a manny.
Lincoln Scott is no stranger to family chaos. But rather than grow jaded, he has thrown his natural talents into building his own business—providing live-in childcare for families as a manny. The money is great and the perks are a blast, but when his family of six years moves to Germany and their plans to bring him along fall through, Lincoln is suddenly unemployed and aware of how much of himself he’s given to other people’s families.
Brought together by circumstances, Lincoln and Vera’s mutually beneficial business arrangement becomes complicated by the undeniable chemistry they share. Vera needs a manny and Lincoln needs a job, but they both may have found the very thing neither one had realized they needed—a whole lot more.
Love Vera and Lincoln!!
I loved this latest Misadventure!! It's a short and sweet story complete with some great feels. Vera is a strong and incredible recently divorced single mom trying to do the best she can for her 3 boys. Her ex is a certifiable jerk! He made me so mad! All I can say is karma baby!
The boys have been hellions lately and she has been going through nannies as fast as you can lock a door. She works a lot to make sure her boys lives don't take a huge hit since the divorce, which means she is desperate for a new nanny. Enter the sexy manny, Lincoln. Lincoln is an amazing man who also happens to adore children. He loses his full time manny position around the same time Vera is fresh out of options. He is her brother-in-law's friend and they are introduced and soon he agrees to come work for Vera. The boys take to him nicely since they had already met and liked him and soon they have all established a nice rhythm.
Lincoln and Vera had definitely not planned for the chemistry and crazy attraction they so clearly had from the first time they meet. They fight it for a good while so as to not screw up the dynamic in the house with the boys. Lincoln is amazing with her boys and so good to her as well resisting him gets more and more difficult. Soon they can't fight it any longer and give in to their attraction. I love them together!! Can they find forever with each other as a family? Or will circumstances change and mess everything up for them?
Lincoln is the man(ny)!
This book was everything. It has you laughing, it has you smiling, it has you feeling all the feels!
This book, seriously, was everything. From the moment you start reading you're hooked. You have to know what happens with Vera and her boys, Charlie Elliott and Louis. Little did we know, the manny was going to happen. Enter Lincoln.
Oh my. Lincoln is exactly what this family needed. From his ability to interact with the boys and his ability to whoo Vera. He was perfect for them. It took just Vera a little longer to get on bored. There is so much sexual tension between the two, that I don't blame her. I would have been unsure at first too!
I'm so glad that we were able to meet Vera, her boys and Lincoln. Why? Because it makes you love, love again.
So funny, it will keep you laughing after you finish...
This was a hilarious, funny, and complicated book. Vera’s husband is leaving her and their three boys for the kid’s nanny. Unhappy with the situation, the boys are running off all the nannies she hired. Her sister wants to help but she is pregnant and doesn’t have the energy. Unknown to Vera, her sister’s husband knows someone who could be the nanny. When I found who was the nanny I laughed out loud because it’s a guy. Lincoln, the best friend of her brother in law, agrees to becomes Vera’s nanny but he’s called a manny....lol. Vera can’t believe she finds herself attractive to Lincoln because he so different than her ex-husband. Please read this just to find out end. This was a unique subject from the authors other books I have read. I really enjoyed this cute Misadventures book because I think I laughed just about all through the book.
