Miss Frost Ices The Imp
Book 2, Jayne Frost - A Nocturne Falls Mystery
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now…private investigator. Sort of.
When she buys a sealed box at an estate sale and cat-related circumstances cause that box to be opened, life in Nocturne Falls starts to go haywire. Jayne has no choice but to figure out what she unleashed and how to recapture it.
But Jayne suspects the woman behind the box is hiding something. Something that could cause a town resident serious trouble. Or worse, to lose their life.
With the help of her two favorite guys, a sexy vampire and a hot summer elf, and a few new friends, Jayne tackles what feels like an impossible mission. And winds up almost iced herself.
My New Favorite Mystery Series
Didn't think it possible but this one was even better than the first one. I am SO team Greyson. But dang it, why can't she have both him and Cooper? Ugh, I wish Kristen would tell us! I love the mystery in this series. Kristen is very good at keeping you guessing. It can be read as a stand alone but you would really love it even more if you read the first one first. As far as knowing which series to start with, nothing is taken away by starting with this one. Only that the characters of the town that are mentioned, they have big roles in the Nocturne Falls series. This series seems more mystery oriented. It's such a nice happy cozy feeling it leaves you with afterward. I just love the characters and world building. The explanation in the series about how Santa delivers toys blows my mind. How does Kristen do it? She is the most amazing author! She's a genius to think of this stuff. Makes me want to peek inside her mind. Lol
Jayne Frost Detective
Kristen Painter has written another excellent Nocturne Falls book. Jayne as a detective is excellent. I like the ending for the imp, Blueberry. The snow globes as a telephone system between Jayne and her family is good. I like the way her relationship between the Cooper and Grayson was developed. The story flowed and the characters were interesting and humerous. Is this it for Jayne and the men in her life?
Icing on the cake!
Kristin Painter is a superb writer, entertaining and witty. Love the new series. Haven't read a book that was less than a serious page turner. If you haven't read her books you're missing out!
